Diana Cedillo, CNM
Diana Cedillo is a Certified Nurse Midwife who discovered a passion for healthcare at an early age. She has had the privilege of assisting as a birth doula during her career, where she learned the art of supporting physiological birth. She seeks to expand access to midwifery care that honors the spiritual, emotional, and social needs of pregnant and birthing people. Her focus as a provider is on empowering her patients through education and shared decision-making. She enjoys providing birth control counseling, pregnancy and postpartum care, well-woman and other gynecologic services for patients of all stages of life, from adolescence to beyond menopause.
Diana is a Texas native who grew up in the Rio Grande Valley. She is a native Spanish speaker who considers it a privilege to be able to support and empower the Latin community. She believes that all people deserve compassionate, evidence-based, and culturally competent care.
Diana has a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Texas- Rio Grande Valley and a Master of Science in Nurse-Midwifery from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. Before her midwifery education, she spent time at Johns Hopkins Medical Institute conducting neurology research and has experience providing doula services in both hospital and out-of-hospital birth settings. She is certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board and is a member of the American College of Nurse-Midwives.
She finds joy outside of work through art, travel, live music, and backpacking through the beautiful Appalachian Mountains.
