Gisele Cavalheiro, FNP

Gisele Cavalheiro is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who practices patient and family empowered healthcare. She believes that women are the heart and anchor of a family, and caring for them is an immense privilege.
Originally from Brazil, Gisele began her career in women's health in 2008 by working in a busy hospital, first in the maternity unit, then in labor and delivery, and later in the neonatal ICU. She attended to both high-risk and low-risk pregnancies, provided evidence-based gynecological and postpartum care, along with breastfeeding education, always with open and honest communication to her patients.
The most rewarding aspect for her is the ability to create a lifelong connection with her patients. From teenage years to adulthood and beyond, Gisele enjoys helping them plan a family, providing sexual education, guiding them through pregnancy and childbirth, and keeping them in good health for years to come addressing all aspects of gynecologic care. With that in mind, she pursued a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree at the University of North Georgia, and also earned a post- graduate specialization in ob/gyn.
Gisele is nationally certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She is also affiliated with the Nurse Practitioners in Women's Health (NPWH) and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). She is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese and is delighted to be a part of the Modern Ob/GYN team.
In her leisure time, Gisele enjoys watching movies, hiking, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.
