Emily Dixon, CNM, FNP
Emily Dixon, a dual certified nurse-midwife and family nurse practitioner, has a compassionate approach and is dedicated to being an advocate for her patients. She believes in being a partner alongside her patients, empowering and supporting them through education and collaborative care.
Emily is passionate about all aspects of women's health, and loves interacting with patients in all stages of life. She provides evidence-based care to each patient, and uses shared-decision making to ensure each patient receives the best care. In addition to comprehensive training in family medicine and as a certified nurse-midwife, Emily has extensive experience in sexual health education, especially amongst young adults. She has also worked as an in-home newborn nurse, developing an in-depth knowledge of the postpartum period, breastfeeding education and support, adjustment to a new baby in the home, and newborn care.
Emily is originally from Louisville, Kentucky and attended Emory University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Art History, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and her Master of Science in Nursing. Emily is certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board and is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives. Emily is committed to providing quality, individualized, patient-centered care and is thrilled to be joining Modern Ob/Gyn!
Emily loves spending time with family and friends. In her spare time she enjoys yoga, hiking, and traveling.
