Erica Richmond, CNM
Erica Richmond is a certified nurse-midwife who is passionate about advocating for and supporting women in their healthcare journey. While obtaining her Bachelor of Arts in Public Health from Elon University, Erica first discovered the Midwifery profession. After earning her nursing degree at Duke University, she worked for several years as a Labor and Delivery nurse, caring for low- and high-risk patients at a busy hospital. Erica graduated from Vanderbilt University with her Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in Nurse Midwifery. She is certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board and is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives.
In addition to her nursing experience, Erica developed her skillset to support women in labor while volunteering as a birth doula. She also obtained her Breastfeeding Specialist certification so that she can better support her patients during the postpartum period. She recognizes what a great privilege it is to be present with women and families in some of life’s most monumental moments. To optimize the patient experience, Erica believes patients should be active participants in their care. She hopes to build long-lasting relationships with her patients as she provides routine gynecological, prenatal, birth, and postpartum care.
Born and raised in North Carolina, Erica is excited to establish roots in the Atlanta area. In her free time, she enjoys trying new restaurants, reading, traveling, and Pilates.
