My experience with Drs. Reyes and the entire staff has been outstanding! The staff and Drs. are very caring and attentive. It has truly been the best ob/gyn experience I have ever had! I wasn't sure what to expect with my hysterectomy, but Dr. Reyes was very thorough and encouraging through the entire process! I recently had a total hysterectomy. My experience has been excellent. Dr. Ingrid Reyes has been a delight. The DaVinci surgical procedure is definitely the way to go. It is less invasive and allows a much faster recovery. During my recovery I experienced little pain and no bleeding. The surgery was a complete success. Dr. Natu definitely knows what she is doing. The clinical team is always professional, as well as helpful (major plus). Overall, I am glad that I chose this office to handle my obgyn needs and concerns.
If anyone has the need for both a doctor who is skilled and personal then you have found the right group with both Dr. John and Ingrid Reyes. Dr. Ingrid Reyes is the best, she is not only skilled and professional but one who cares about you as an individual. I felt comfortable with the decision to have my hysterectomy by the robotics laparoscopy after the details were given by Dr. Reyes. Within a few days I felt better than I had been prior to my surgery. At two weeks post op I was back to work and needed to remind myself that I was still recovering from major surgery. The post op recovery is deceptive because you feel almost back to normal very quickly. No complications like the classic hysterectomy. The care and general concern of Dr. Reyes and the team makes the experience enjoyable before and after. Throughout the entire process, I felt taken care of and that I was more than just a patient. I highly recommend this group if you need a hysterectomy, I highly recommend this procedural approach.
My experience with Dr. Kim has been amazing!!! She and all the staff take their time to answer my questions at every visit, I never felt rushed. Dr. Kim performed my hysterectomy. I was so nervous, but Dr. Kim reassured me throughout my process. Just as Dr. Kim told me it would be, my recovery has been so easy! I was driving after a week. I walked a mile around my neighborhood on day 5 post op. I couldn't believe how well I felt. Robotic laparoscopic surgery is amazing. If you are looking for a doctor that cares about your health, I highly recommend you make an appointment to meet with her. I will recommend her to all my friends!
I was a patient of Dr. Reyes. I had very large fibroids, and extremely enlarged uterus.
Dr. Reyes did a phenomenal job with the DaVinci surgery. I felt good in a couple weeks after surgery, able to walk outside, which will never happen having an abdominal procedure.

My experience with Dr. Reyes has truly been a positive one. I feel blessed and fortunate to have come to this practice. I have suffered from uterine fibroid for a very long time (10 years). I've always felt tired and low on energy due to my fibroids. I honestly didn't think I was going to make it. After going through my first pregnancy with fibroids, I knew I had to seek treatment to relieve me from my symptoms. When I consulted with my OB she suggested an abdominal myomectomy, which would require several weeks for recovery. Thankfully I did some research on my own and came across the practice, Modern OBGYN. Dr. Reyes assured me that I did not need to have an open incision and that a minimally invasive treatment would work best for me. I opted for the robotic laparoscopic surgery, and I have to say it is one of the best decisions I have ever made. I have less scars and a very fast recovery. I was up and walking the very same day of the operation!

My experience was great, everyone was very supportive and very positive, and I had a lot of pain for about six months losing blood every month. My case was very different; my uterus was very large about the size of a 30 week pregnancy. I was very worried that I would have to be cut for a surgery, but Dr. Reyes worked with it and I didn't have to be cut - WOW HAPPY! HAPPY!
Two days after surgery and being in pain I was able to sleep on my stomach, after four days the pain was at a zero. After one and a half weeks I was up to speed and doing work around the house, cooking and shopping for a couple of hours.

I had very large fibroids and needed a hysterectomy. My primary care physician (PCP) referred me to Dr. John Reyes and told me he would take care of me. From the first time I met him till the surgery, he was very nice and personal and explained the whole procedure and about the robotic surgery to me. I was a little skeptical at first, but researched it and trusted him. He said my fibroids were big and my uterus was as big as a 5 month pregnancy, but that he will try not to do regular open incision hysterectomy. Sure enough he did, and even though the surgery was long, he did use the robotic surgery. My recovery was quick, and I was able to get up and walk the next day, and was discharged home after 24 hrs. I am grateful to Dr. Reyes for all they did for me.

Before the surgery everything was fine, Dr. Reyes answered all the questions that I had about it. The day of the surgery I felt a little nervous, but after the surgery I was happy. I did not feel any pain; the procedure was fast and easy.
I recently had surgery, Dr. Reyes and his wife performed the surgery. I had to have my uterus removed due to heavy bleeding and the outcome of my surgery was great. I had no major pain just the normal. I had my surgery on 12/21/2011 and I went home the next day. I have very small scars that you really can't see. I would recommend that anyone with my similar problem to have the robotics surgery that I had. I am feeling awesome right now and I thank Dr. Reyes and his wife for taking care of me!

I had a hysterectomy two weeks ago and feel amazingly well. Not pain free, but I have been so impressed with Dr. Reyes and the procedure I had. I watched my mother and sister go through a regular hysterectomy and this was nothing in comparison. Dr. Reyes office has always been very friendly and helpful. Dr. Reyes's bedside manner is the best. I have dealt with a lot of doctors, but he goes above and beyond to make sure his patients are well taken care of.

Everything went well. All the medical staff was very nice and professional. All the clinical staff explained every step of what would happen. Compared to previous experiences, this one was different. Very nice!
I am a patient of Dr. John Reyes. I was referred to Dr. Reyes by my primary care physician after experiencing heavy, unpredictable vaginal bleeding. Having just turned 50, I was very frustrated with the daily bleeding, frequent cramping, bloating and other related symptoms of my menstrual cycle. My health history includes a uterine ablation in 2008, D&C in 1994, tubal pregnancy/rupture in 1993, and a C-Section in 1987. The ablation failed and my symptoms just worsened over time. My annual female exams always had to be rescheduled due to the unpredictable bleeding between my periods. My lifestyle was basically controlled by these issues.
I underwent a total hysterectomy. Dr. Reyes removed my uterus, ovaries, tubes and cervix. I had several fibroids tumors, cysts and excess scar tissue. My surgery lasted about 3 hours and I was discharged from the hospital 24 hours later. I was given a shot of morphine in the hospital due to my discomfort with the catheter. I was able to get up and walk several hours after surgery, I showered the next morning and when I got home, I was able to walk up the stairs to my room. I took Aleve for 2 days and then did not need to continue with pain meds. I did not have any discomfort internally (expect for mild gas) and only experienced mild tenderness around the abdominal incisions.
To be honest, I do not feel like I have recently undergone major surgery. I am relieved that I am not controlled by the daily issue I was having and I feel some peace knowing my risks of gynecologic cancers have been taken care of. In summary, I am happy that I had the DaVinci robotic surgery. I feel good about the care I have received and expertise of my surgeon. I have had no complication and very little discomfort. It has been a long time since I have been pleased with my options and outcomes. My overall experiences of seeing different ob/gyn doctors as a middle-age woman had not been positive.
After the failed ablation, I basically gave up, thinking my only option would be an open surgery. My previous Dr. had not offered anything but that. So, I decided I would just suffer until I reached menopause. I am grateful to Dr. Reyes. He listened to me, went over reports patiently with me and gave me a very nice option. After years of misery, I am glad to have resolution and would recommend this to any other woman in my position.
I wasn't Dr. John Reyes typical patient, I am 57 years old and pre-diabetic. The amount of questions and concerns I had were not either the typical ones, Dr. John Reyes took all his time answering all of them. He assured me everything was going to be ok. I went into surgery with NO fears because of the caring treatment I received prior to it. I was also told in two weeks after surgery I was going to feel well. I could not believe I only used the Percocet for three days and then for another week and half I only needed an Advil during the day, but not all days. At three weeks after surgery I felt incredibly well, just as Dr. ordered.
I underwent an ablation procedure. It was due to experiencing extremely heavy periods. Dr. John Reyes really took the time to listen to my concerns. He also explained the benefits, other aspects of the procedure, and how it would enhance my quality of living. The staff was very professional and provided me with confidence that all would be fine. I am happy to say that it has been one month since my ablation and it has truly been a success. The issues I experienced prior to the ablation have subsided and I am once again enjoying life. I will definitely recommend this office to anyone who is seeking quality obgyn care.
Dr. John Reyes has been very focused and attentive throughout the entire surgery process. My surgery went very well. I was up and walking within a few hours after surgery. Pain medication used was very minimal and I actually felt like I could do most all of my very active daily activities within a few hours after surgery. I just had to keep in mind the instructions Dr. John gave me - take it easy. Dr. John's passion for his work and for the care of women is unmatched. I think this is what I appreciate most about him. I will highly recommend the DaVinci method for hysterectomy and Dr. John for his outstanding care and expertise.

Dr. John and the team were fantastic. Everyone took the time to make sure I was comfortable the day of the procedure and to answer any questions we had. I would like to take the time and thank Drs. Reyes on a job well-done. His and her staff went over the procedure very confident and made me feel secure and safe. The most important thing I like about Dr. Reyes is his patient, caring spirit, knowledge, and the time he put in with me. Dr. Reyes was my THIRD opinion about my condition. The other doctors I visited did not explain my condition, but continued to prescribe medication that did not work. I had a wonderful experience! I had suffered with pain and bleeding everyday for over six months. Dr. John promised he would figure out the problem and make me feel better, and that is exactly what he did!

I had suffered from heavy periods for many years prior to seeing Dr. Ingrid. After many painful infusion treatments and blood tests I finally decided to move forward with a hysterectomy. Dr. Ingrid explained the procedure to me and even provided a DVD for me to see the DaVinci Robotic procedure. This helped me a lot in making my final decision to go forward with the surgery. The surgery went well and I have not experienced any problems since. I am feeling better than ever and for the first time in years my blood count is normal. I am so happy that it was a success and I wish I would have done it sooner. The recovery was minimal and so was the pain. I am so excited about my new life that the surgery has given me !! I am thankful and so is my family.

Coming to Modern OBGYN for my first time in mid December 2012 with multiple issues was the best thing I did. During my exam Dr. Reyes revealed I had multiple fibroids, he was very professional and polite not in a hurry and very explicit with the diagnoses.
Within a month Dr. John and Ingrid performed a myomectomy and removed 12 fibroids. The bikini cut was so precise that after 3 weeks of healing you could only see a fine line where the incision was made. I came out of recovery and walked to the nurses station all by myself the same day. AMAZING!!

I came to Dr. John Reyes with serious fibroid issues after being repeatedly dismissed by my former doctor. By the time I got to Modern OBGYN I needed a hysterectomy. I first thought I could have a robotic procedure with the shorter recovery, but because of the location, size and number of my fibroids I needed the more invasive abdominal hysterectomy. Dr. Reyes did the necessary tests to get a complete understanding of my issues and made thoughtful recommendations about how to proceed, while listening to my concerns. Before my surgery he made me comfortable with what to expect and even answered my husbands questions. He used his skill to ensure my surgery was a success and made sure I was recovering well after the surgery.
In addition the level of care Dr. Reyes provided, the office staff has been pleasant and responsive. Dr. John not only has exceptional technical expertise, he is thoughtful about educating me as a patient, and has great bedside manner which is a rare combination. About two years ago, I was referred to Modern OBGYN by my doctor. I saw Dr. Ingrid Reyes and she listened and talked to me about my options. At that time, I chose to do the Uterine Embolization procedure to see if that would alleviate my cycle issues. It worked to minimize the flow and pain, but not the frequency of my cycles - the positive effects lasted for a little over a year. Then in September 2012, I had a period 3 times in the same month! That did it! I was now ready to get rid of the issue once and for all. So I returned to Modern OBGYN and discovered that there was this new method (new to me anyway) of doing a full hysterectomy called the Da Vinci Robotic procedure. On Monday, November 19, 2012, I had a full hysterectomy procedure (all but my ovaries) done by Dr. Ingrid.
To sum up the entire experience in one word...AMAZING! Not only was there a robotic procedure which drastically minimizes the entire surgical and recovery experience, but I was "led" to a pair of knowledgeable and competent doctors with excellent beside manners to boot!
In closing, if you are in need of guidance regarding if, when or how to go about having a hysterectomy -RUN, do not walk to Modern OBGYN. Let Dr. John and Dr. Ingrid Reyes walk you through the decision -making process. I was not excited when I heard that the most viable option was a hysterectomy to treat my adenomyosis. Dr. Mmbaga was kind, empathetic, a great listener, and so thorough in answering my questions. What an awesome experience! I have a friend that will require the same procedure and I have sent her to start the process with Dr. Reyes. I had a myomectomy in the past and I cannot remember anything about my procedure and doctor. He was not as thorough and caring as Dr. Reyes. A great teacher and a great doctor is what I have found in Dr. Reyes. He gave me several options about my condition and how to deal with it. He discussed each option in detail, which allowed me to make a more informed decision. I opted for the abdominal hysterectomy. The process was smooth. After my surgery, I felt great. Three days later, I felt as if I could run a marathon - Really!! My husband told me to just heal and go from there. I knew that I was given a six week healing time, but I felt great - no scars and no pain.
I am very Happy with how the surgery went (from pre-op with Dr. Ingrid to post-op) and the recovery. The anesthesia staff and Dr. Ingrid's crew made me feel very relaxed and prepared. Recovery has been quick, everything went great.
Dr. Reyes went above and beyond in helping me. I had a complete hysterectomy and ovary removal on January 27, 2014. Dr. Ingrid Reyes performed the surgery using the Da Vinci Robotic Method and everything went perfectly! I spent one night in the hospital and only needed narcotic pain reliever the day of surgery and the next day. I started working again part-time (from home), the week after my surgery. I have 4 small incisions on my belly that are already looking great. The recovery process has been much easier than I anticipated.
Prior to the surgery, Dr. Reyes met with me several times and always took all the time I needed to answer my questions! She never made me feel rushed like other doctors have done in the past. Before the surgery everything was fine, Dr. Reyes answered all the questions that I had about it. The day of the surgery I felt a little nervous, but after the surgery I was happy. I did not feel any pain; the procedure was fast and easy.
The surgery was a complete success. Dr. Natu definitely knows what she is doing. The clinical team is always professional, as well as helpful (major plus). Overall, I am glad that I chose this office to handle my obgyn needs and concerns.

I met Dr. Ingrid Reyes in 2016 and fell in love with her, as an OB-GYN. Her bedside manners and caring spirit struck me when I met her the first time. She took the time to explain my condition and explained, gave me all possible outcomes, with advice on how to go about my decision making. I finally decided to have a robotic assisted laparoscopic hysterectomy, Dr. Ingrid was wonderful from pre-op to post-op. I would recommend Dr. Ingrid and her team to anyone who is looking for a caring, compassionate, and kind doctor.
Modern OBGYN of North Atlanta has an outstanding staff. They have been my physician for the past year. Not only was I confident in their medical skills, but I have been touched by their "personal" care they gave me. I felt as if they truly cared about me. It started with the moment I walked in and was greeted warmly by the receptionist to each assistant, technician, and physician that treated me. They explained things so I could understand. I had surgery and there was no pain afterwards- just discomfort. I am so grateful and blessed for all they have done for me.
